Der Countdown läuft!!! Ihr habt vermutlich inzwischen schon gehört, dass wir ab Mitte August wieder in Deutschland sind. Darauf habe ich nun ja die letzten drei Jahre gewartet, aber nun, wo es so ernst wird, ist mir doch ein bischen komisch im Magen. Mir wird bewusst, dass es Dinge gibt, die ich vermissen werde (meinen Laufclub und seine Mitglieder, Undine und Emma, die heißen Sommer und pumpkin spice cappucchino) und manche, denen ich sicher keine Träne nachweinen werde (Schaben, schlecht isolierte Häuser, Müllberge von Plastiktüten). Aber bevor ich gleich richtig loslege, und euch von unseren Plänen und den letzten sechs Monaten erzähle, könnt ihr euch wie immer die letzte Seite hier noch mal anschauen.

The countdown has started!!! You have probably all heard by now, that we will be back in Germany in the middle of August. For this I have been waiting the last three years, but now that it is getting serious, I do feel a little woozy thinking about it. I am aware that there are things I will be missing (my running club and its members, Undine and Emma, the hot summers and pumpkin spice cappucchino) and some that I will not waste one thought on once we are gone (cockroaches, badly isolated houses, mountains of cheap plastic bags). But before I start telling you all about our plans and the last six months, as always, you can look at the previous page again here.

Aber nicht nur sie, auch Connor ist sehr groß geworden und ist inzwischen auch ganz verrückt nach seiner kleinen Schwester. Und er liebt seinen Klavierunterricht, wo er einer der Besten seiner Klasse ist.	But not just her, Connor also has grown and is no absolutely crazy about his little sister. And he loves his piano lessons, where he is one of the best in his class.
Naja, und Brian und ich haben nebenher auch noch das ein oder andere zu tun... Im Februar sind wir für ein Wochenende Ski gefahren, und im März (nachdem ich sieben Jahre drüber nachgedacht hatte) bin ich endlich meinen ersten Marathon gelaufen. Im rechten Bild sind Bruce and Theresa, meine Lauffreunde, und Bill Rodgers, die amerikanische Marathonlegende (zweiter von links) am Abend vor dem Rennen.	Well, and Brian and I have the one or other thing to do on the side... In February we went skiing for a weekend, and in March (after thinking about it for the last seven years) I finally ran my first marathon. Und was die nächsten Wochen/Monate angeht... Im Mai sind wir in Ohio zu Delaneys Graduation. Kurz davor will ich noch einmal einen Halbmarathon hier in NC laufen. Im Juni werden wir für ein paar Tage auf die Outer Banks fahren. Ende Juni ziehen wir aus unserem Haus aus und in ein Hotel. Mitte Juli fliegen wir nach Kalifornien für zwei Wochen und danach nach Michigan und Wisconsin. Ihr seht, es wird uns sicher nicht langweilig werden... Für dieses Mal war es das mal wieder. Ich hoffe, es geht euch allen auch gut, und ihr wisst ja, wie ihr uns für ein kleines Schwätzchen erreichen könnt.	And about the next weeks and months... In May we will be in Ohio for Delaney's graduation. Just before then I am planning to run another half marathon here in NC. In June we will be travelling to the Outer Banks for a few days. End of June we will be moving out of our house and into a hotel. Mid-July we will be flying to California for two weeks and then to Michigan and Wisconsin.
